Emmerdale stars Laura Norton and Mark Jordon have revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
Norton and Jordon, who met on the ITV soap and who are engaged, shared their happy news with OK! magazine.
"I had tears in my eyes, we're over the moon!" said Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt in the rural drama.
"In my heart I knew before looking at the test," said Jordon, who played Daz Spencer on the show. "We both looked at the result and there was so much joy..."
Jordon has two adult children with his ex-wife, Downton Abbey star Siobhan Finneran.
"It's something I've always hoped would happen," said Norton of becoming a mother. "I hope my instincts kick in. I feel very calm and safe knowing that I've seen what an amazing father Mark is and how brilliant his kids are."
