Former US president Barack Obama has shared another one of his occasional music playlists - and this time out he's listed the songs he and his family have been enjoying during the summer.

Artists such as Rihanna, Nas, Mac Miller, Princess Nokia, Drake, Andy Shauf, and Frank Ocean, Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage (Remix) all feature, along with acts included in Monday night’s first night Democratic Party Convention.

Writing on social media, Obama said, "Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer - including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it."

Maggie Rogers and Leon Bridges, who are on the playlist, performed at the first night of the Democratic National Convention. Billie Eilish, Common, John Legend, the Chicks, and Billy Porter are all scheduled to perform at the DNC later this week.

President Obama’s 2019 summer playlist featured Brown Eyed Girl by Belfast star Van Morrison, while his 2018 playlist included Nina Cried Power by Hozier (feat. Mavis Staples).
