Angelina Jolie has heaped praise on her Eternals co-star Barry Keoghan, saying that the Dublin actor is "very unique" and that she thinks "very highly of him".
Jolie was on Virgin Media One's Six O'Clock Show via video link to discuss her new film The One and Only Ivan on Disney+ when talk turned to Keoghan.
"Angelina, one of our country's greatest exports is Barry Keoghan," said host Martin King. "You and him have become good friends, and he's referred to you as being 'a mother-like figure'. What do you make of that?"
"I'll take it!" the Oscar winner replied. "I'm honoured! He's wonderful. He's really wonderful.
"We worked together on Eternals and he's so talented. You know, he's very unique - and that's a fun thing to see these days.
"When you meet somebody and you say, 'Well, there's a lot of people that can do good work...', but when strong, unique personalities come forward and they have their own... something that you haven't seen before, it's really exciting, it's fun to see. So I think highly of him."
Marvel's The Eternals is due in cinemas in February 2021. Family adventure The One and Only Ivan is streaming on Disney+ from Friday.
