Stalwart UK music magazine Q is set to close after 34 years.
Q's editor Ted Kessler said they had no choice but to cease publication as "the pandemic did for us and there was nothing more to it than that."
The final issue of the long-running publication will be released on July 28 and is a special commemorative issue that dives into their extensive archives of interviews and features with music’s biggest names over the decades.
I have some bad news about @QMagazine. The issue that comes out on July 28 will be our last. The pandemic did for us and there was nothing more to it than that. I have attached our final cover and my editor's letter for context.

On the plus side, we’re all available for work. pic.twitter.com/rm8qOcUBtB
Many musicians and avid readers shared their reactions to the news on social media.
Foals took to Twitter to thank the magazine for their "love and support over the years".
The Vaccines said it was "dark times" to see it close.
I bought the first #QMagazine in my local garage and was a subscriber for close to 30 years. It HAD a heyday - the 'who the hell' stuff was hilarious. Sad. pic.twitter.com/z9FUeQQapA

there was a time when i was 17 that i decided music was it for me + i bought every music magazine i could find to learn everything i could know. i looked to @QMagazine as a bible since "the brits found everything good first." it's always represented that special time to me.
