Fans are loving Zac Efron's new look for his Netflix show Down to Earth, which sees him travel the world to experience different cultures and explore environmental sustainability.
On the brand new show, which premiered July 10, Efron is seen sporting a more rugged look than his usual polished attire. He has long hair, a beard and is wearing button-down shirts and baseball caps.
Fans have been quite vocal on social media, declaring that Efron has a "dad bod" and that they really like it.
However, some people, including actor Chris O'Dowd are not too pleased...
To myself and fellow members of the legitimate 'Dad-Bod' community, this is cultural appropriation. https://t.co/RHYke2YyHe

Now that we have recalibrated "dad bod" to mean "Zac Efron but with carbs", my physique has been reclassified as "haunted shed full of tacos" https://t.co/hAm7qHoMt9
