The fox family is the focus of EastEnders: Secrets from the Square, there's a look back at Love Island in All the Dramz, Panorama investigates Britain’s Coronavirus Gamble, and the impressive Perry Mason continues . . .

Pick of the Day

EastEnders: Secrets from the Square, 8.00pm, BBC One

Stacey Dooley chats to some of Walford’s biggest stars, reliving some of their most iconic moments, sharing juicy behind-the-scenes gossip and revealing some of the show’s best kept secrets.

This week, Stacey is joined by Diane Parish and Tameka Empson, aka sisters Denise and Kim Fox, for a very big socially-distanced reunion, as Tameka returns to set for the first time since 2019.

Picking up just where they left off, the stars reveal all about their close working relationship and tell the stories behind some of their biggest moments – from Tameka reliving her infamous live labour scenes for the 30th anniversary to Diane explaining why she once had to pretend to all her friends and family that she had quit the show.

Don't Miss

Perry Mason, 9.00pm, Sky Atlantic

The hard-boiled detective story continues as Matthew Rhys continues to pound the streets as the iconic pulp PI in the engaging and visually sumptuous LA noir story that’s getting that bit better week-by-week.

We’re now up to episode five and The case of the kidnapped and murdered child grows more fascinating. We’re also learning a bit more of Perry Mason’s back story, and Matthew Rhys is fantastic, as always.

After last week’s developments - I’ll give nothing away as I’d highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen this yet to get up to scratch through Sky’s Catch Up service - it’s fair to say that it’s impossible to second guess what’s going to happen next.

Panorama: Britain’s Coronavirus Gamble, 9.00pm, BBC One

Panorama investigates the scientific advice the government followed in the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.

The World Health Organisation urged countries to stamp out infections as soon as they developed, but the UK government's initial scientific advice said the route out of the crisis was to develop herd immunity.

Panorama reporter Dr Faye Kirkland asks whether this was a dangerous gamble with people’s lives or a sound scientific approach.

Killer Families, 9.00pm, Sky Crime & NOW TV

An intensely passionate romance between teenagers that violated the Texas age of consent laws turned violent when Keri Ann Murphy’s mother Mary Ann tried to put a stop to the affair.

When Mary Ann was found stabbed to death in her bed, Keri attempted to pin the act on a classmate. But it soon became clear that this was an act of matricide.

Into the Wild: India, 8.00pm, Sky Nature & NOW TV

On the edge of the ancient Indian city of Jodhpur, a troop of Hanuman langurs, led by alpha male Kumar, enjoys a life of plenty in their luxurious temple gardens home.

New or Returning Shows

Love Island: All the Dramz, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One

Revisit some of the juiciest and most memorable Love Island moments.

All The Dramz revisits some colourful clashes from five glorious years in paradise - with voiceover Iain Stirling guiding viewers through some unforgettable moments.

From Kady kicking off at Scott after his fate with Tina in season 2, to Wes letting Laura know he potentially 'could be happier’ in season 3.

Plus of course, the infamous clanger from Tom in season 5 when he commented ‘Let’s see if she’s all mouth’ which resulted in a thoroughly justified ear bashing from Maura.

The Kindness of Strangers, 10.00pm, Virgin Media One

Part one of two of this psychological thriller, starring Julie Graham, Hermione Norris and Neil Pearson.

Businesswoman Ellie is struggling to cope with her new life following the arrival of twins. As she juggles caring for the babies, working from home and dealing with a teenage son, her marriage to Joe suffers.

A chance meeting with seemingly generous widow Fiona helps lighten her load - but the friendship soon takes a sinister turn.

Catching a Killer: A Diary from the Grave, 10.00pm, Channel 4

When elderly teacher Peter Farquhar was found dead at home in the village of Maids Moreton in 2015, it was sad and unexpected - but no one thought it suspicious.

18 months later, when his neighbour Ann Moore-Martin also fell ill and died, the police decided to look again. They found that Ben Field, a would-be vicar and academic, had recently become part of both of their lives and benefited from their wills.

Exhibition on Screen, 7.00pm, Sky Arts & NOW TV

Taking its lead from French artists like Renoir and Monet, the American impressionist movement followed its own path which over a forty-year period reveals as much about America as a nation as it does about its art as a creative powerhouse.

It’s a story closely tied to a love of gardens and a desire to preserve nature in a rapidly urbanising nation. Travelling to studios, gardens and iconic locations throughout the United States, UK and France, this mesmerising film is a feast for the eyes.
