The Directors, 9.00pm, Sky Arts
A look at the life and career of American director Martin Scorsese, widely acknowledged as one of the all-time greats.

This generated critic’s poll-topping films such as Raging Bull, The King of Comedy, Goodfellas, Cape Fear and most recently The Irishman.
More recently he’s also worked with Leonardo DiCaprio to huge success in what has become a showcase for the genres he has mastered, beginning with Gangs of New York in 2002 and continuing with biopic The Aviator, psychological thriller Shutter Island, stranger- than-fiction comedy The Wolf of Wall Street, and gangster thriller The Departed - which won Scorsese his only Academy Award for Best Director.
