Jessica Chastain stars in Molly's Game, Mrs America continues, season two of Condor kicks off on Sky, and Kevin McCloud's back with more Grand Designs . . .

Pick of the Day

Molly's Game, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

This 2017 drama was directed by The West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin, and stars Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba and Kevin Costner.

It tells the true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game for a decade before being arrested in the middle of the night by FBI agents wielding automatic weapons.

Her players included Hollywood royalty, sports stars, business titans and finally - unbeknownst to her - the Russian Mob.

Don't Miss

Mrs America, 9.00pm, BBC Two

The period drama continues as Phyllis's campaign to stop the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment gathers support and momentum.

Its proponents prepare for the Democratic presidential campaign of 1972 and have a stark choice to make - the popular crowd-pleaser George McGovern or the trail blazing African-American Shirley Chisholm, who is determined to fight against a traditional white male preserve.

Condor, 9.00pm, Sky One & NOW TV

This second season is already up and running on RTÉ2, but if you missed it there - and saw season one - this paranoia-soaked drama starring Max Irons is well worth a look.

While traveling through Europe, on the run CIA analyst Joe Turner is approached by a Russian intelligence officer who offers to reveal the identity of a mole in exchange for protection.

Treasures Decoded, 9.00pm, Sky History & NOW TV

Using forensic testing and experimental archaeology, this series unlocks secrets that have remained hidden for centuries, shedding new light on moments in history that have long been shrouded in controversy.

Grand Designs, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Kevin McCloud (above) meets Spanish architect Jaime and his wife Mimi as they embark on a mission to convert a Grade II listed folly into a family home in Buckinghamshire.

Giving themselves a wildly optimistic six-month deadline to finish before the birth of their second child, it's not long before the couple hit trouble.

Jaime puts all his energies and creativity into the project, using innovative 3D mapping to squeeze living spaces into the tower, but it proves to be an exhausting struggle.

Bears About the House, 8.00pm, BBC Two

In this two-parter, conservationist Giles Clark embarks on his biggest mission to date - taking on the illegal wildlife trade and helping to build a new bear sanctuary in Laos, south-east Asia.

He has been asked by good friend Matt Hunt, CEO of Free the Bears, to help for 12 months and is not long into his role when he has to step in to help Mary, a five-month-old sun bear.

Mary was rescued after her mother was killed in the wild and was spotted on the back of a truck for sale into the illegal wildlife trade.
