Rapper Stormzy has helped to decorate a youngster's bedroom in London as a reward for good behaviour in school.

Stormzy worked with decorators The Good Guys on the room in Croydon, south London, near to where the star grew up.

BBC London filmed the visit, explaining that once a month The Good Guys decorate the room of a deserving young person. The pupil, 15-year-old Ishae, did not know that Stormzy had been one of the decorators until he arrived home.

Speaking to BBC London, Cycle Carth, founder of The Good Guys, said: "Today's give-back is for a student at one of the schools that we paint. He was selected because of his positive behaviour that he has demonstrated since starting at the school."

As for Stormzy's work, Carth added: "I'd hire him; he could reach all the tall spots."

The Press Association reports that Stormzy and his company recently pledged £10m to projects focusing on racial equality and social justice. His other charity work has seen him start a scholarship fund for two black students to go to Cambridge University each year.
