Scottish actor Sam Heughan has topped a poll by fans to take over the spy role ahead of Tom Hardy, Idris Elba and Michael Fassbender.
The 40-year-old actor can out on top in the poll for RadioTimes.com which also featured Henry Cavill, Tom Hiddleston and Cillian Murphy.
Daniel Craig, 52, has filmed his last movie as 007 in No Time To Die, which is set for release later this year after being delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
Heughan previously revealed that he auditioned for the role 15 years ago. Speaking on This Morning he said: "I think a lot of actors were seen in the UK. Of course it would be a dream role."
Craig recently insisted the delayed No Time To Die will be his final Bond film, amid reports the star was considering another outing as 007.
