Anne Doyle made a welcome return to screens for RTÉ Does Comic Relief, presenting Waterford Whispers News on a night when a Vatican plane doused RTÉ with Holy water because it had shown Normal People.
In other news, she announced that all First Communion children can now apply for the Covid-19 welfare payment to recover "any loss of earnings"; Matt Damon sightings are finally down to zero, but this will not affect the opening of a €30m Matt Damon museum in Dalkey; and Dáithí Ó Sé has been arrested after trying to illegally buy more fadas on the black market.
Viewers were also told that a beleaguered Statue of Liberty was last seen walking in the direction of France; Christy Moore has opened his eyes for the first time in 30 years after pioneering surgery; and the Craic Doomsday Clock has been hovering dangerously close to zero - the lowest it has been since Pat Kenny hosted the Late Late Show.
Hopefully there was an improvement after Friday night...
