Dublin actress Sarah Bolger is to star in Canadian drama Black Donnelly's, an historical crime story about the murder of a Canadian-Irish family.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the 29-year-old Tudors actress will play Johannah Donnelly, a brave mother who protects her property and children in a local feud in 1880 while her husband Jim is in jail.
The media-shy actress has most recently featured in Apple TV's End of Sentence, which was released at the end of May, A Good Woman is Hard to Find, Into the Bandlands, Once Upon a Time, Mayans M.C. and the soon-to-be-released comedy We Broke Up.
Filming is set to start next year.
