Actor Dennis Quaid and doctoral student Laura Savoie have revealed that they secretly wed earlier this month.
Sixty-six-year-old Quaid and 27-year-old Savoie shared photos of their big day with People magazine. The couple tied the knot on June 2 in Santa Barbara, California with only their pastor as witness. They announced their engagement last October after a whirlwind romance.
Savoie wore a Chosen By One Day dress for the ceremony, while Quaid wore a Hugo Boss suit.
"It was beautiful," he recounted to People. "Just looking into her eyes, she was the most stunning bride.
"It was love at first sight. I just love who she is as a person. Her character, her intelligence, of course her beauty. And her point of view of the world."
Savoie told People that she has "never met someone who is so in love with life" as Quaid.
"It's like nothing can bring him down," she continued.
"Just getting to do life with someone who lives that way is inspiring for me. It changes my perspective and it brings so much joy to every day."
Quaid and Savoie had originally planned to marry in Hawaii in April, with another reception for family and friends in Nashville, Tennessee, but they had to change their plans due to the Covid-19 emergency.
Quaid was previously married to actresses PJ Soles and Meg Ryan and estate agent Kimberly Buffington. He has three children from his previous marriages.
