My name is D., I make music, and as we speak I am in the middle of binge-watching Community on Netflix.
How would you describe your music?
I am notoriously bad at describing my own music, but I would call myself a singer/songwriter with a big dollop of power pop thrown on top!

Who are your musical inspirations?
My big three are Dave Grohl, Ben Folds and The Beatles. They're my Mount Rushmore of songwriters.
How have you been occupying yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
I've been making lots of music, writing and recording as much as possible. I'm very lucky to have a little demo studio set up in my attic where I can go and make noise. I've also baked a lot of banana bread - like the whole country has seemingly!
What's your favourite song right now?
Chinese Satellite by Phoebe Bridgers. Her new album Punisher is phenomenal.

Favourite lyric of all time?
Killer Mike from Run the Jewels wrote an amazing lyric on their new song Walking in the Snow, which perfectly captures what's been happening in America recently:

Everlong by Foo Fighters. My favourite song! I think it's perfect.
