Fans of Adventure, which includes former members of classic Irish bands Candy Apple Red, Revelino and Azure Days, have released their new single, Supersonic Time. We asked singer and guitar slinger Dave Dorgan the BIG questions.
Tell us three things about yourself?
I live in Dublin.
I play guitar and sing a bit in Fans of Adventure.
I enjoy the creative process.
How would you describe your music?
Post-new wave.
Who are your musical inspirations?
As a guitarist, I love the orchestrations of Tom Verlaine and Richard Lyoyd. Songwriters I admire include Guy Chadwick and Chrissie Hynde.
How did you occupy yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
For me It was a guiltless idler's dream, although it was a very difficult time for a lot of people. I took up painting again after many years, played lots of guitar, wrote a couple of good songs, observed myself turning into someone from The Grateful Dead!!
