George Floyd's six-year-old daughter Gianna has thanked Kanye West after he agreed to cover the cost of her future college education.
According to People, the 43-year-old rapper - who's previously shown support for US President Donald Trump - created a 529 college savings program to pay for her entire tuition.
Gianna took to Instagram on Monday to post an image that read, "Thank you Kanye West for securing my college education."
In the caption she added : "Thank You Kanye, Because of You I Will have a college Education... Mommy and I are so thankful for you and your family."
She also tagged West's wife Kim Kardashian while adding the #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd hashtag.
Gianna also became a shareholder in Disney stock over the weekend, thanks to the generosity of singer Barbra Streisand.
Gianna shared photos of her Disney stock certificate, a letter to Gianna from Streisand herself, plus DVDs of Streisand's 1965 TV special My Name Is Barbra and her 1966 TV special Color Me Barbra.
"Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you," Gianna wrote.
Gianna's father George Floyd was killed on May 25 after he was apprehended for fitting the description of a forgery suspect.
Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was seen on video pinning his knee into the back of Floyd's neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds, leading to his death.
Chauvin was sacked and originally charged with third-degree murder, but after protests broke out around the world, the charges were ultimately elevated to second-degree murder. Three other police officers at the scene have also been charged.
As well as paying for Gianna Floyd's college education, it was also reported that Kanye West donated $2 million to organizations supporting the defence of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, two other African Americans recently killed by US police.
