The film was aired in cinemas in October last year. In 2017, Waters embarked on a 156-date world tour, of which the concert is the consummate record.

The tour was co-directed by Waters and Sam Evans, and employs footage from his shows in Amsterdam and the UK.

Waters performed classic Pink Floyd albums Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, and Wish You Were Here, as well as tracks from the band's 1977 Animals on the tour.

Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb and Waters’ solo track, Smell The Roses, from 2017 are included as two bonus tracks on the new digital release.

The musician was scheduled to perform a 31-date North American tour in July but it has now been rescheduled to 2021 due to Covid-19.

There has been on-going difficulties between Waters and Pink Floyd, the band he famously left decades ago.
