Channel 4 has announced that its soap Hollyoaks will resume production this week in Liverpool. A return to filming is scheduled for July.
The broadcaster said that new Covid-19 regulations will be in place to safeguard cast and crew. Production had been halted since March.
"All cast and crew will attend a safety induction to familiarise themselves with the revised way of working prior to production restarting," a spokesperson added.
Hollyoaks is set to double its current two nights a week from September, with plans to return to five episodes next year.
