Comedian and actor Jerry Stiller, who played George Costanza's father Frank in legendary sitcom Seinfeld, has passed away at the age of 92.
The Emmy-nominated actor had a long career on broadway and played both dramatic and comedy roles.
His son, actor Ben Stiller, tweeted the news and said that his father had died of natural causes.
I'm sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes. He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad. pic.twitter.com/KyoNsJIBz5

The late actor starred with his son in Zoolander, and also had roles in Hair Spray, and sitcom The King of Queens.
He was also an author, writing a memoir entitled Married to Laughter: A Love Story Featuring Anne Meara.
Meara was his wife of 61 years and she died five years ago at the age of 85. The two met after he comforted her at an agent's office when she was upset.

The pair had often entertained together, appearing as Stiller and Meara on The Ed Sullivan Show, and have a joint star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame since 2007.
Stiller is survived by his son and his daughter, actress Amy Stiller, and two grandchildren.
