Join Marty Morrissey every Sunday in his garden as he chats to a host of stars, including Chris O'Dowd, Nicky Byrne, Aidan O'Shea and Erika Fox for his brand new RTÉ Player show, Marty in the Shed.

Keeping a safe social distance, each episode was filmed via zoom in the backyard of Marty's West Clare home and features a variety of entertainment, from comedy sketches, fun games, musical performances to conversations with leading Irish entertainers and influencers.

Marty gets off to an A-List start with award-winning actor Chris O'Dowd logging on from LA for a chat in the shed. Filling Marty in on the O'Dowd's quarantine, Chris explains that potty training their two toddler sons, Art and Valentine, is taking up all their time.

Chris said: "Just before all of this madness, we started potty training. We're in the midst of an avalanche of excrement and urine at the moment, to be honest. We've got an old cat and two potty training toddlers so it’s quite the scene.

"I keep seeing people talking about what kind of TV they are binging and I'm like I haven't had time to take a s*** on my own."

Also joining from the US is Instagram star Erika Fox, also known as Retro Flame, for a game of "animals as Gaeilge". Comedy comes from Oliver Callan and there is music from the Kilfenora Céilí Band.

Speaking about his new chat show, Marty said:  "It’s certainly a bit different to be presenting a show from my shed in my back yard in West Clare on the Wild Atlantic Way but here goes!

Marty also chats to Erika Fox who is in New York

"I’m deeply honoured to be given this opportunity on the RTÉ Player as I meet new and old friends who will be joining me from all over Ireland, USA, UK and Spain as we all try to cope with this world pandemic.

"We all need to stay safe right now and stay at home. Hopefully, we can bring a smile to your face for just a half an hour on RTÉ Player."

There will be a new episode of Marty in the Shed on the RTÉ Player every Sunday, starting May 10.
