Yes, you read that right. The rock band is releasing a children's book written by thriller author James Patterson and have named it after their worldwide hit, Sweet Child O’ Mine.
The story was inspired by the daughter and niece of the US rock band's manager, Fernando Lebeis.
Speaking about the children’s book, which is due for release on September 1, Lebeis said: "'My sister and I have been lucky to be able to watch our daughters - Maya and Natalia Rose - grow up while touring with the [band].
''We ourselves have been part of the 'Guns family' for over 30 years ... being able to bring this into a children's print book is truly special and a fun milestone in our lives.''
The lyrics of Sweet Child O’ Mine, which is from the band’s 1987 LP, Appetite for Destruction, have been adapted and made suitable for younger readers.
Acclaimed author James Patterson said: ''As a longtime fan of Guns N' Roses, I'm thrilled to partner with the band in bringing their famed hit song to life on the page.
"Sweet Child O' Mine is a story that I know kids will love reading and that parents will love singing along to.''
