Neil Young has announced that he will release Road Of Plenty in 2021, an archival album featuring recordings from the 1980s, including live performances with Crazy Horse.

The Canadian musician revealed on his website that the forthcoming album would feature a "monster take" of Eldorado from his Freedom album, performed with Crazy Horse during their 1986 US tour.

The track listing also includes a 17-minute version of Sixty to Zero, recorded with The Bluenotes, a song which was later renamed Ten Men Workin'  for legal considerations.

Young has cancelled plans to tour with Crazy Horse due to Covid-19. Instead, the musician has been offering fans a series of Fireside Sessions on his Archive website, which also features his wife, Darryl Hannah.

Early filming at the couple's home in Telluride, Colorado has been less than straightforward, as Rolling Stone reports. Initial attempts to stream the Fireside Sessions live proved to be less than ideal, as the bandwidth was too low at their home.

They found a way to do it though - Ms Hannah shoots and edits the entire show on her iPad and to avoid the risk of exposure to Coronavirus, the couple have set up a system whereby they leave the iPad outside the door of their house.  A friend, wearing a mask and gloves then picks up the iPad and drives to town where the session can be properly uploaded to the device used by Young's engineer John Hanlon who in turn facilitates the website broadcast.
