Seinfeld co-creator and star of Curb Your Enthusiasm Larry David has encouraged Californians to curb their enthusiasm for going outside during the Covid-19 crisis.
The veteran comedian and renowned curmudgeon was filmed for a video tweet issued by the Office of the Governor of California urging people to stay indoors and protect older and vulnerable people.
"You're hurting old people like me," the 72-year-old says. "Well, not me . . . I’ll never see you."
David also draws in comparisons with his current HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, where his character Larry - a semi-fictional version of himself - seems to run into bother every time he steps outside.
"You know, if you’ve seen my show . . . nothing good ever happens going out of the house, you know that," he says.
"There’s just trouble out there. It’s not a good place to be. So stay home . . ."
