Picture This have said they can't wait to play an online concert in association with RTÉ  2FM to raise funds for Childline and the ISPCC next week.

Some of Ireland's top artists are coming together to present the two-week-long digital live music event in support of the children's charity while it deals with the challenges of the Covid-19 emergency.

Starting with Hozier this Friday, March 27 at 7:00pm, fans can tune into live performances on the participating artists' official Instagram accounts.

Performances will then be broadcast live on RTÉ 2FM every evening for 30 minutes, with listeners encouraged to make donations to support Childline and the ISPCC.

Picture This' show takes place on their Instagram page on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00pm.

Frontman Ryan Hennessy told RTÉ News Arts & Media Correspondent Sinéad Crowley: "We have a lot of young fans, particularly for our music, and we're always very aware that we need to send the right message to them, and to let them know we're always here for them as an outlet.

"We've always admired Childline for all the work they do, so it's a no-brainer for us to work with them and for them."

Picture This have just come off tour and are staying together at home while they self-isolate.

Looking forward to next week's show, Hennessy added: "This is a very direct way of doing it, and it allows the fans to take control of the concert more so than usual, which is exciting for us and the people at home."
