Presenter Dr Ciara Kelly has spoken about her Covid-19 diagnosis on RTÉ Radio One's Liveline.
The GP-turned-broadcaster said she felt unwell at the weekend and was tested on Sunday morning.
She said a paramedic came to carry out the test at her home.
"I feel very fluey and I have headaches," she told Joe Duffy.
"I got a few sweats and chills. I have a cough and over the weekend my chest was tight and my breathing wasn't great. I had a burning feeling - that's what made me think I might have it."
When @ciarakellydoc recovers from Covid-19 she is considering getting back into medicine (as well as broadcasting) to help out all the heroes on the frontline.#liveline @joeliveline
