Agit-rockers Rage Against the Machine have confirmed that they will play the sold-out Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally, Co Laois next September.
The Friday, September 4 date is part of the quartet's world tour, which begins in Texas next month.

Rage Against the Machine's last Irish show was at the O2 (now the 3Arena) in June 2010.
They made their Irish debut at Dublin's Tivoli Theatre in August 1993, before playing the Féile festival in Semple Stadium, Thurles, Co Tipperary the following July. They later played the Oxegen festival at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas, Co Kildare in July 2008.
The Electric Picnic Festival runs from Friday, September 4 to Sunday, September 6.
