There's a documentary about the infamous death at Michael Barrymore's home, bonkers Sky show The Heist returns for a second ruin, while it's the end of the line for Madam Secretary . . .

Pick of the Day

Barrymore: the Body in the Pool, 9.00pm, Channel 4

This story was huge at the time as Michael Barrymore was a major UK television star.

In the early hours of 31 March 2001, a phone call was made to Essex emergency services to say a body has been found in Barrymore's swimming pool.

When paramedics arrived, Stuart Lubbock's lifeless body was found by the side of the pool. Subsequently, every detail of the story was pored over by the media.

Was it a drug-fuelled orgy? Was Stuart gay? Did Stuart drown or was there another cause of death? Why did Barrymore flee from his home? Would Barrymore's career ever recover from the disturbing event?

19 years on, this documentary explores the full story behind one of Britain's most high-profile unexplained deaths, as told by the people closest to it.

New or Returning Shows

The Heist, 9.00pm, Sky One & NOW TV

The gauntlet is thrown down once again in this (frankly bizarre) reality/entertainment show as everyday people from a small town are challenged to orchestrate the perfect heist.

They work together to take a life-changing cash prize from under the noses of a crack team of detectives and - if they can hang on to it for two weeks - it's theirs to keep.

But have they got what it takes to beat the law?

Secrets of the Museum, 8.00pm, BBC Two

Here's the hidden world of London's celebrated Victoria and Albert Museum, going behind the scenes at the world-famous home of art, design and performance.

From Christian Dior gowns to Queen Victoria's coronet, and from Kylie Minogue’s travelling wardrobe to the logo of the Extinction Rebellion movement, the staff of the V&A handle it all.

Ending Tonight

Travels in Euroland with Ed Balls, 9.00pm, BBC Two

In the final episode, Ed Balls heads to Italy and France to explore the roles that the financial crash, and increasing globalisation, played in fuelling the rise of both right and left-wing populism across the continent.

Ed's journey begins in Milan, the wealthiest city in Italy, and the base of the Former Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini. His party, Lega, have risen to power by promising the Italians a huge €10m tax break - in direct opposition to the EU’s austerity plans.

The Fix, 9.00pm, Fox

It's the last episode of the legal drama starring Robin Tunney (The Mentalist) as an LA prosecutor who moved to rural Washington for a quiet life after unsuccessfully prosecuting an A-List actor.

Despite fine performances from Tunney and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost), the show never sparkled and has been cancelled after one season. In this episode, all questions will be answered as a conviction is made in the murder of Jessica Meyer.
