Madonna has been obliged to cancel two more shows scheduled for her Madame X tour on doctor's orders as she undergoes 'six hours of rehab' daily.

The singer has revealed on Instagram that she has ‘multiple injuries’, and is cancelling concerts at the London Palladium on February 4 and 11.

Madonna, 61, said that doing three consecutive shows was ‘too much on her body’, and doctors are urging her to take a day off after each show.

‘It’s a miracle I have gotten this far but a lot has to do with the fact that I do 6 hours of rehab every day,’ she wrote. ‘3 hours before show and 3 after with multiple therapies.'

The mega-selling star revealed that she has taken to wearing flat shoes and made changes to challenging parts of the show. "This has helped enormously but I still need to be careful and of course rest is the best medicine,’ she writes.

‘I never want to cancel any show and I’m determined that I will make it to the end if I pace myself. God Willing.’

Madonna has already cancelled ten dates of the tour, including her opening London concert, which had been scheduled for the Palladium on January 26.
