As he gets ready for the emotional rollercoaster of Memory Lane on Dancing with the Stars, Fair City's Ryan Andrews has told RTÉ Entertainment that he "is worried about being teary nearly every Sunday" on the show.

Andrews will dance this weekend to one of the songs that means the most to him, Coldplay's Fix You, and share the story behind it.

The actor and professional dance partner Giulia Dotta were joint top of the leaderboard last week for their Jive, but for Memory Lane they're taking things slow with a Rumba.

"It was a song that came in at a certain time of my life, and it always reminds me of that time," Andrews told RTÉ Entertainment. "Everyone knows the song and it's one of those songs that every time you listen to it is like listening to it for the first time."

Ryan Andrews and Giulia Dotta - "We've been rehearsing a lot this week and it's still very fresh and new"

"A Rumba is the slowest possible dance you can do," he continued. "The Jive is the quickest, which was last week, so it's going to be a complete contrast from last week. With the Rumba it's very basic, it's very vulnerable. You're kind of exposed a lot. There's nowhere to hide - there's no tricks, no flicks, no kicks you can hide behind."

When asked if he thinks his emotions will get the better of him after the performance, Andrews replied: "I'm worried about being teary nearly every Sunday! So many emotions go through your head.

"It's always a fantastic show, Memory Lane, because you get to know all the contestants that little bit more, and you learn things about the contestants that you probably never would have heard before. It's set to be an amazing night."
