My Chemical Romance have announced their return to Dublin with a gig at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin on June 23 - their first Irish show since 2011.

The band, who have had hits with I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love, and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, are making their return to the live arena since going on hiatus in 2013. Tickets for the Dublin show are priced €72.50 and go on sale this Friday, January 31 at 10.00am.

In other new gig announcements, Michael Kiwanuka will make his Irish return with an outdoor performance at The Summer Series at Trinity College Dublin on June 29, with former Alabama Shakes front woman Brittany Howard as special guest.

Tickets priced €54.85 inclusive go on sale at 9.00am this Friday, January 31 via Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.ie.

Veteran US synth art pop duo Sparks will play Vicar Street, Dublin on October 27, with tickets on sale this Friday, January 31 at 9.00am through www.ticketmaster.ie and usual outlets nationwide.

The eccentric brother act of Ron and Russell Mael have also announced the May 15 release of their 24th studio album A Steady Drip, Drip, Drip.

They also confirmed the release (without providing any dates) of the Sparks-written musical feature film Annette, starring Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard and directed by Leos Carax (Holy Motors), and the currently-untitled Sparks documentary directed by Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, Spaced).

Meanwhile, Dublin act The Coronas will headline No Where We'd Rather Be, a new mini festival at Killruddery House and Gardens, Bray over the Bank Holiday weekend of July 31 and August 1.

Also on the bill are Tom Walker, Hudson Taylor, Gabrielle Aplin, LYRA, Aimée, Thanks Brother, True Tides, and Somebody's Child. Tickets priced€55.85 go on sale this Friday, January 31 at 9.00am.
