Netflix is among the global companies keeping a close eye on the progress of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the couple negotiate steps towards the future as private individuals.
It is envisaged that their departure from the British monarchy will allow them a free hand to make commercial deals.
The Observer has reported that Netflix's chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, has commented on the prospect of working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. "Who wouldn’t be interested?," he said. "Yes, sure."
As non-working royals, there is a strong possibility that Harry and Meghan will follow the example of Barack and Michelle Obama, who negotiated a production deal with Netflix for a number of TV and film projects.
The Sussexes intend to spend most of their time in Canada, with Harry expected to join Meghan and their son Archie in Canada later this week.
