Take an exclusive first look at Tom Vaughan-Lawlor's new film Rialto, which is released in Irish cinemas in May.

Written by Mark O'Halloran (Adam and Paul, Garage) and directed by Peter Mackie Burns (Daphne), the drama delves into "masculinity, familial dysfunction and the very nature of love".

Rialto has been critically acclaimed following international screenings, with Variety describing the central performances as "extraordinary".

A description of the movie reads: "At 46, Dubliner Colm (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor) has a comfortable life: a managerial job in the city's docks, two healthy teenage children, and a kind, loyal wife in Claire (Monica Dolan).

"After the death of his father, Colm's emotional life cracks open. Unable to confide in Claire, Colm finds himself drawn to Jay (Tom Glynn-Carney), a 19-year-old who quickly becomes his only solace from the pressures he feels."

Rialto will be released in cinemas in Ireland on May 8.
