Elbow, Skinny Living, Denise Chaila and Jesca Hoop are the first four acts announced to play St. Michael's Church at Other Voices Ballina 2020 this February.

Other Voices returns to the Mayo town for the second year on Friday February 28 and Saturday 29 and offers fans a chance to see stadium act Elbow play an intimate venue - the 225-year-old St. Michael’s Church in the heart of the town.

The acclaimed UK band have released seven studio albums, including Asleep at The Back and The Seldom Seen Kid, and scored perhaps their biggest hit with One Day Like This.

English indie fourpiece Skinny Living have earned an impressive live reputation and released singles such as Why, Fade and Let Me.

Rapper, singer and poet Denise Chaila hails from Zambia and is now based in Limerick. Her music blends spoken word and rap to give voice to her remarkable personal story.

Acclaimed American folk singer Jesca Hoop will be a must-see for many at Other Voices Ballina. She released her fifth album Stonechild last year and has collaborated with the likes of Iron and Wine, Mark Knopfler and her early mentor Tom Waits.

Further acts, both Irish and international, will be announced shortly for gigs to be recorded for TV in front of a live audience.

More acts will also be announced, including 30 performers, musicians, DJs and bands for a series of free gigs on the Other Voices Music Trail.

Tickets for the St. Michael's Church TV recording performances cannot be purchased and will be given away through competitions in national and local radio, press and online. All ticket competitions will be announced in advance at www.othervoices.ie.

Other Voices have also put a call out for acts who are interested in playing at Other Voices events throughout the year.
