The Irish heats for Junior Eurovision 2020 will take place this March and applications for entry are now open.
Singers aged between nine and 14 years can enter this year's competition, which will chose a singer or singers to represent Ireland at the televised event in an as yet unnamed venue in Europe later this year.
The Irish Eurovision heats take place in March in RTÉ studios and the winner will go on to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020, a highly-visual, multi-million euro spectacular which attracts over 11 million viewers across Europe.
Last year, 13-year-old Anna Kearney from Dublin represented Ireland in Poland, enthralling Europe with her song Banshee.
"I loved every minute of it," the young singer singer said following her performance. "We were picked up by limousine and brought to the hotel, where all the countries stayed. It was an amazing atmosphere. I got to perform on a stage bigger than I had ever dreamt of. It it is something I will never forget."

The winner of the Irish heats will travel to Europe eight days in advance to prepare for the event, from the opening ceremony, to rehearsals on the big stage, culminating in the show itself.
Presented by 2fm DJ Eoghan McDermott, the show will be broadcast on TG4 in the autumn. To enter, all you need is an impressive singing voice - an original song is not necessary. Applications are open to solo singers, duets and groups of up to a maximum of six people.
The closing date for entries is February 14, 2020. To apply, submit a 40-second clip of the applicant or applicants singing.
