The 52-year-old gold medalist Olympian boxer hopes to be fighting fit for next week. This week's event is ladies night and Carruth will miss out on the men's group dance.

Contestants have wished him well on social media, with former Nationwide presenter Mary Kennedy revealing that Carruth has sustained a leg injury. "Wishing you well Michael. I hope that leg is raised on a cushion tonight. See you tomorrow xx." Kennedy said.
