Red Rock: the Finale, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One

It's the beginning of the end for Virgin Media's Irish cop drama, with a double-episode finale over two nights, concluding tomorrow.

The hunt for answers in the Donna Burke case continues. With Tom Callaghan lying in a pool of blood, focus turns on Supt Dunne in both Callaghan and Donna Burke's deaths.

Meanwhile, pictures found on Callaghan's mobile phone leave Sean in a quandary.

New or Returning Shows

One Day: Keeping Ireland Company, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

Here's the the return of the documentary strand that follows aspects of life in Ireland over the course of 24 hours.

The first edition spends a day with various people whose working lives revolve around the company of animals, from bulldogs to pedigree bulls, rescue hens to racing pigeons.

Oh, and a poodle with purple ears.

How to Lose Weight Well, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Doctors Xand van Tulleken and Helen Lawal oversee proceedings as people attempt some of the most popular and talked about diets on the market today, while cook Stacie Stewart gives advice about recipes.

In the opening episode, Laura and Gellner have two weeks to slim down for a spa day, sisters Aishia and Karlette go on six-week diets for their joint birthday party, and truckers Adain and Gerry hope to lose weight for a hot-tub party in four months' time.

Oíche na mBan, 11.40pm, TG4

Clíona Ní Bhuachalla and Lynette Fay (below) present a nod to the tradition of Nollaig na mBan, aka women's Christmas, with this music special.

It features a mix of performances from leading female music artists, including Bronagh Gallagher, Heather Small, Sibéal, Lisa McHugh, Ríoghnach Connolly, Una Healy, Gráinne Holland and Lumiere.

24 Hours in Police Custody, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Here's another two-parter starting tonight and ending tomorrow.

This one takes viewers behind the scenes of the police investigation into the premeditated and brutal murder of a young man after officers were called to woods in Hinchingbrooke Country Park in Cambridgeshire when a dog walker found a blood-soaked body.

The Choir: Aylesbury Prison, 9.00pm, BBC Two

And here's yet another today and tomorrow two-parter. Gareth Malone undertakes a challenge to form a choir in HMYOI Aylesbury, a prison for young offenders serving sentences from four years to life. At the end of his first week, Gareth has met almost all the prison's 200 residents, with 20 having expressed real interest in working with him.

Celebrity Coach Trip, 7.30pm, E4

Back for a new run, twelve more famous (ish) faces join tour guide Brendan Sheerin on board the bus, with the group beginning their journey in Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera.

The celebs taking part are TOWIE couple Tommy Mallett and Georgia Kousoulou, Gogglebox's Amy and Jonathan Tapper, BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts and actor Kate Holderness, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe of Blue, internet pranksters Woody and Kleiny and First Dates waitress Cici Coleman and chef Rustie Lee.

Highlights of the ceremony hosted by Ricky Gervais at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, honouring achievements in film and TV as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

It's a new beginning for the long-running and much-loved series, as Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh takes over from the departed Mary Kennedy. Big boots to fill!
