Australian stars have appealed for donations from around the world to help combat the devastating fires ravaging the states of Victoria and New South Wales.
Russell Crowe started the call for appeals by auctioning a hat in November and recently gave a donation to the New South Wales Fire Service.
Actress Naomi Watts has thanked fire service authorities. "Big gratitude to the brave firemen who literally haven't stopped during the holidays!! Heartbroken for all the animals, plants and land." she said.
Nicole Kidman urged fans to donate to local fire services in Australia by donating half a million dollars herself to Rural Fire Services, saying "Our family's support, thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires all over Australia. We are donating 500,000 dollars to the Rural Fire Services who are all doing and giving so much right now."

Actress Rebel Wilson has been attending charity events to raise funds for those affected by the fires.
Kylie Minogue tweeted the names of various charities that are providing assistance to stop the fires and help those who have been affected.
