Five Derry Girls cast members took part in a special festive edition of The Great British Bake Off and the results were delightfully chaotic.
Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Nicola Coughlan, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Dylan Llewellyn and Siobhan McSweeney all took part in a New Year instalment of the show and host Sandi Toksvig jokingly branded them "five of the most troublesome people we have ever had in the tent".
They came. They baked. They caused total carnage.

Jackson, who plays Erin in the brilliant comedy series, was ultimately triumphant on the show and was branded the star baker, but really all five were winners for their lighthearted approach to the competition.

Viewers were in stitches over some of the contestants less-than-impressive efforts, including a "slimy" trifle from McSweeney and a "casual" attempt at a Bakewell from Llewellyn. Meanwhile, O'Donnell was told her showstopper cake was "as tough as old boots" after she mixed up the table spoon and the teaspoon while measuring out the baking powder.
After the show aired, many fans were calling the show the best of the festive season and requested a full season special of the Derry Girls on the Bake Off.
Take a look at some of the best viewer reactions below.

We just need to replace all news programming with constant re-runs of the #DerryGirls and #GBBO mash up and I think we could achieve world peace.
