Irish singer-songwriter RuthAnne Cunningham has said she is "so thrilled" Niall Horan chose her song, Nice to Meet You, as the lead single on his new album.
Speaking on The Ray D'Arcy Radio Show on Radio 1 on Monday, the Dubliner said she penned five tracks on Horan's debut album Flicker, and several for his second EP.
"I wrote five songs on Flicker. I can't confirm how many for the new album yet as he's still trying to whittle down, still trying to decide but I wrote Nice to Meet You which is the lead single.
"We had so much fun writing that song in February.... I was so thrilled that out of all the songs they had that they picked that one as the first single," she said.

34-year-old Cunningham recently released her debut album, Matters of the Heart, and admits "sometimes it takes a while" to get to where you want to be.
"Sometimes it takes a while! I think Sheryl Crowe was 36, Danny from The Script was 32. I think it can take a while to find yourself.
"For the album I wanted to make and the type of artist I wanted to be I needed to write these songs myself so the album is a journey through my 20's. It's broken into heartbreak, hope and love. I had to live it in order to write it.
"It's been amazing to see people connect with songs like The Vow. The Vow is now peoples wedding song and people walk down the aisle to it and people send me videos of them sending their children to sleep with it and it's kind of amazing to have that connection on your first album," she added.
