Portlaoise singer Seorsia Leagh Jack, otherwise known as Sia Babez, is hoping along with her newly formed band to win the final of The X Factor: The Band.

The R&B singer has been teamed up with five other girls to compete against a boy group in the final at Birmingham's Resorts World Arena.

Sia Babez and performed her single Hit My Line live in 2FM's Studio 8 last August.

If her band wins, they would hope to replicate Simon Cowell's success with bands like One Direction and Little Mix.

There were two rounds of auditions at which the Laois singer of Zimbabwean heritage won the judges approval to get to the final. This is at the second round of auditions:

The six girl group members are Jess Folley, Virginia Hampson, Seorsia Leagh Jack, Luena Martinez, Halle Williams and Kellimarie Willis.

The boy band's members are Boaz Dopemu, Caius Duncombe, Fred Roberts, Harrison Cole, Jed Thomas and Reece Wiltshire-Fessey.

It is expected the winning band will secure a record deal with Simon Cowell's music label Syco.

The playlist will feature Destiny's Child Independent Women, Demi Lovato's Sorry Not Sorry

The X Factor: The Band is on Virgin Media One at 8.00pm.
