Maria Carey accused Alison Hammond of "mocking" her after the TV presenter belted out a Christmas song during an interview on This Morning.
Hammond asked the pop icon, famed for her festive classic All I Want for Christmas Is You, if she would mind her singing a Christmas song, and Carey deadpanned: "I would ask you to keep it to yourself."
Undeterred, the TV presenter said: "You don't have to look at me through it because it's a bit intimidating" before bursting into song.
Carey looked less than impressed.
"Are you mocking me, Alison, after I made this card for you and everything?" she quipped.
Viewers took to social media to heap praise on the English TV presenter for the hilarious moment.
