Pierce Brosnan has been cast as the king in the upcoming Cinderella musical from Sony which stars Camila Cabello in the titular role.
Cabello, who rose to fame as a member of the X-Factor formed girl group Fifth Harmony before carving out a hugely successful solo career, will make her acting debut in the film.
The 66-year-old Irish actor joins Billy Porter as the fairy godmother, Idina Menzel as the evil stepmother and Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert.
Brosnan will play Prince Robert's father in the fairytale musical.

The film from writer-director Kay Cannon is a musical comedy that reimagines the Cinderella story, in which the heroine is an ambitious young woman whose dreams are bigger than the world will allow.
It is being produced by James Corden and Leo Pearlman through their Fulwell73 banner.
Cinderella is slated for a February, 2021 cinema release.
