Today with Maura and Dáithí will broadcast their milestone 1000th show on RTÉ One on Monday, with presenters Maura Derrane and Dáithí O'Sé thanking their loyal fans for tuning in over the years.
This series milestone marks the start of Maura and Dáithí's on-air Christmas season as the set will have some extra festive sparkle over the coming weeks.
Commenting ahead of Monday's show, Maura said: "It's such an achievement for everyone working on the show to reach 1000 episodes. We are all very proud.
"It's all down to great commitment from everyone in RTÉ Cork and to our loyal audience who have journeyed with us for eight years. We are so thankful to them."
Dáithí added: "I remember getting a call from the boss at the time asking me if I would like to go to Cork for a few months. I didn't realise his few months meant 96 months and counting.
"It is really great to see how the show has changed and evolved down the years and I really think this year we have the perfect formula. A special mention and word of thanks to the audience - if it wasn't for your loyalty we wouldn't be here. Go raibh míle maith agaibh."

On Monday afternoon's show, James Patrice will be backstage at Dancing with the Stars rehearsals to exclusively reveal the final two celebrity dancers who will take to the dancefloor when the series returns on Sunday January 5 next year.
Chef Paul Flynn will also be in studio to showcase his favourite big celebration dish, the Rebel Brass band will be performing throughout the show, there will be a fashion takeover by fans of the show, led by fashion stylist Anne-Marie Gannon and Bibi Baskin will be chatting about wellness and how best to look after yourself and others.
Maura and Dáithí will be giving viewers five chances to win a €1,000 cash prize and will be calling lucky competition winners throughout the show.
And Marty Morrissey is joining the 1000th show party and will be taking over the final part of the show with his 'This Is Your Life' red book, delving into the archives for this favourite Today show moments, bringing plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments.
