Visage (51), who has also appeared on RuPaul's Drag Race, and her professional dance partner, Giovanni Pernice, lost out in the Strictly dance-off to YouTube star Saffron Barker and her professional dance partner AJ Pritchard.

Now Visage will get to play her favourite tunes on BBC radio and she says she is "super excited" to host her own show.

The American reality show judge, who Irish people like to claim as one of "our own", said: "I'm hoping there will be a song for everyone to dance to, not to mention music from some of the biggest divas in the business... think Madonna, Lady Gaga, Chaka Khan and Aretha Franklin."

No stranger to radio, Visage also co-hosted morning shows in New York, Los Angeles and Miami over 17 years. She also made regular appearances on RTÉ 2fm in the nineties.

If you have a digital radio or can log in to the BBC's website Michelle Visage's Fabulous Divas will be broadcast from Monday, December 30 on the 7.00pm to 9.00pm slot.
