On Sunday's Fair City there's an awkward encounter between Damien and Mairead as they try to deal with the chaos caused by Will.
"You're avoiding me," he says.
"I need time to think," replies Mairead.
"About?" he asks.
"Well, I have Phoebe to consider," continues Mairead.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" says Damien.
"The stuff with your phone," answers Mairead.
But she agrees when Damien says that it doesn't sound like something he would do.
"Why can't you say whatever it is you're holding back?" he says.
"I want to believe you," says Mairead.
"So what's stopping you?" he presses. "Mairead, just say it. Do you really think I was trying something dodgy with Phoebe?"
