Tamzin Outhwaite has said she's "emotional" after her character Mel Owen was killed in Thursday night's EastEnders.
Mel died after she was run down by a lorry, just minutes after surviving a near-fatal car crash.
After the dramatic episode aired, Outhwaite wrote on Twitter: "Thank you all ... tonight thankfully I'm busy as I'm too emotional to address any @bbceastenders messages tonight... but [prayer emoji]"

EastEnders viewers have heaped praise on Outhwaite following her exit.
This is an EastEnders death I'm never going to get over, being that Mel is one of my favourites. She’s one of the mechanisms that made this show so momentous. I really miss her already. Thank you Tamzin 💜🙏🏻

This is the saddest I've been at an #EastEnders exit since Ronnie and Peggy. What an awful mistake killing such a legendary character. Gutted and wish they had have gone down a different path. @mouthwaite thank you for being such an EE icon. We will miss you dearly xx
