Get into the Halloween spirit as meteorologist Joanna Donnelly opens up on why she is so bonkers about the spookiest time of the year.
Appearing on RTÉ One's Today with Maura and Dáithí on Thursday, she invited presenter Brenda Donohue into her home, where she revealed all about her Halloween obsession.
"I don't wish it was Christmas every day, I wish it was Halloween every day! It's so fun!" she said.
"I remember being very young, we dressed up in black sacks and whatever else we found at the bottom of the wardrobe, and we played around the house and we knocked on neighbours' doors."
The weather presenter goes to great lengths to prepare for Halloween, hand-making costumes for her children and husband.
"Making the costumes is half the fun," she explained. "A few years ago I made... the kids were into Power Rangers, and I made five Power Rangers costumes from scratch!"
When asked if her colleagues in Met Éireann know about her Halloween obsession, she replied: "My professor in the Met Office used to say to me, 'Take your job seriously but don't take yourself too seriously'.
"I live by those words, certainly at Halloween!"
RTÉ's Today with Maura and Dáithí airs weekdays from 3:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
