Nineties teen comedy Clueless is to be made into a TV series, according to reports.
Will and Grace writers Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey are said to be writing the small screen adaptation of the film, which starred Brittany Murphy, Alicia Silverstone and Stacey Dash as a trio of spoiled Beverley Hills teens navigating the pitfalls of dating and popularity in high school.
Die-hard fans were recently horrified to learn that there will be a movie remake of the cult classic, which was directed and written by Amy Heckerling and was loosely based on Jane Austen's 1815 novel, Emma.
Reports suggest that the TV remake will see Cher, who was played by Silverstone in the movie, off the scene and her best friend Dionne (still played by Stacey Dash) left behind to handle being the most popular girl in school.
According to online entertainment site Deadline, the series will be set in 2020 LA and will be pitched as a "Mean Girls meets Riverdale meets a Lizzo music video."
