Corrie actor Jack P Shepherd has been fined after Corrie bosses discovered he had been breaking show rules by advertising the fact he had received hair plugs treatment.
The soap has a no promotions policy written into the actors' contracts with regards their social media accounts.
A not-yet removed Instagram post from the actor who plays character David Platt shows the soap star's before and after on social media.
He said in the post: "It's been 9 months since I had my hair transplant, this is the first time I’ve compared pictures to what I used to look like. I decided to get it done as it was affecting my mental health. To the point where I considered giving up acting and not being in the public eye. Thank you so much
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Virgin Media One and UTV.
