Singer and actor Jason Donovan proved what a good neighbour he is when he leapt into action to help try and extinguish a fire at a nearby resident's home.
Firefighters called to a property in Notting Hill, west London, just after 4am on Sunday were surprised to find Donovan already on the scene having spotted the fire from his home.
The Australian actor, well known for starring as Scott Robinson in the soap Neighbours, was so eager to help that he emerged from his house in his underpants to try and tackle the blaze.
Donovan tweeted a picture of the scene and wrote: "Thank you to the @LondonFire for getting to the situation so quickly, glad no one was hurt. This is a good reason to always wear PJ s to bed ( in case of emergencies ) but much more importantly to have fire extinguishes at hand in the home."

The London Fire Service joked on Twitter: "Everyone needs good neighbours".
The Kensington watch manager Thomas Wolfe said: "The fire was located in the side passage next to a house and when we arrived a gentleman was tackling the fire using a fire extinguisher. We took over from him and quickly dealt with the blaze.
"It soon transpired that it was Jason Donovan who noticed the fire from his property over the road."
When asked if Donovan would get a commendation for being a good neighbour, Wolfe joked: "He looks good for his age."
